Ozark Biomedical's Refurbishing ProcessOzark Biomedical refurbishing process begins by selecting a good donor centrifuge for reconditioning. The unit may or may not be operational, and will usually have paint or housing defects that are in need of repair. Through our thorough refurbishing process, a retired unit can be brought back to near-new condition. |
Disassembly of the CentrifugeThe centrifuge is totally disassembled, taken down to the chassis. Body panels, motors, latches, and PC boards are taken to be rebuilt or thoroughly tested by our Quality Assurance Department. During this stage, the centrifuge chassis parts are cleaned and prepped for painting. |
Motors & GyrosMotors and gyros are completely disassembled, and the housings are bead-blasted prior to painting. This process also allows our technicians to inspect the assemblies for any fatigued parts or critical issues that would shorten operating lifespan. New bearings are installed, and all commutators are reconditioned by our skilled machinists. Once these parts are reassembled, these parts are sent to our Quality Assurance Department for thorough testing. |
RepaintingThe chassis and body panels of the centrifuges go through a complete reconditioning process. This process involves sanding the panels, repairing dents or other damage, and then prepping for painting. Great attention to detail is taken in match OEM color, texture, and finish. The end results are panels and chassis that look brand new. |
 | The texture is reproduced by our skilled paint technicians through a series of applications. The amount of work going into reproducing the color and texture can be overlooked by our customers, and that's okay. Our goal is to provide an end product of such high quality that our customers cannot tell the difference between a new unit and our reconditioned centrifuge. |
|
ReassemblyOnce all parts of the centrifuge have been reconditioned and tested, they are ready for the reassembly stage. The parts are reassembled, attention paid to the harness locations and OE specifications. |
 | The refrigeration system of the units are also tested and recharged as needed. Our in-house refrigeration technician verifies the operation of the cooling system, ensuring the unit will operate within manufacturer's specifications. |
|
Finished ProductThe assembled centrifuge proceeds through our Quality Assurance department, undergoing thorough testing procedures to ensure optimal performance. The unit also gets a final exterior inspection, examining alignment and fit of body panels and seals. The finished product is a quality centrifuge, completely refurbished, that performs like a new unit. Only then does the centrifuge get an Ozark Biomedical Serial Number, identifying it as a completed unit for sale. |
 | The packaging and shipping of our centrifuges is the final step in our refurbishing process. Nothing is more frustrating to our customers, or us, than to have a unit arrive with shipping damage. Our refurbished units are shipped utilizing a combination of our Sealed Air Instapak foam, custom built pallets and heavy duty cardboard boxes. Some units require shipping via freight services, while other units can be shipped by standard carriers. Freight shipments are scheduled through responsible carriers that can ensure safe delivery of our centrifuges. Standard shipment of centrifuges are scheduled through UPS or FedEx delivery, depending on customer preference.
